Our Work

Our portfolio isn’t behind glass — it’s bookable.

Most studios show you photographs. We hand you the keys. Every Véla home has been designed, lived in, and proven across years of five-star guest stays — so before you ever commission the work, you can stay inside it ↗ .

The Story

Bali, brought home to South Austin.

Five years of luxury hotels — Greece, Italy, London, Mexico, and finally Bali — shaped the eye behind this home. In Bali in Bouldin, those years come to rest in the 78704: layered global craft, natural materials, and golden-hour warmth in cognac, ochre, walnut, and brass, all beneath the live oaks of Bouldin Creek.

Bailey designed every inch herself — the limewashed walls, the custom shades and curtains, the built-in grill under the oak — then lived in it before ever opening the doors. Guests call it a five-star hotel that still feels like someone’s home. It has booked that way ever since.

“From the moment we walked in, it felt like stepping into a 5-star hotel. The design is stunning and every detail is so thoughtfully curated. Every room was beautifully styled yet still comfortable and livable.”

Where It Began

The home that started it all.

A decade ago, Bailey moved to Austin and designed her first home entirely by hand — warm woods, soft plaster, and rooms layered like they had been collected over years. When she traveled, she listed it. It never stopped booking.

The Hether Haus is where hosting taught design: which chair guests pull toward the window, where the morning light lands, what a truly stocked kitchen means at 7 a.m. Nine years as a Superhost — now Airbnb Luxe — began in these rooms, and every wall, shade, and detail is still her own.

The details only a live-in designer learns — that is the difference a decade of hosting makes.
